The president of Agro-Industrial Fishing and Coffee Cooperative of Ganda, Avelino Sawayanga said that intend to reactivate the coffee farms, later this year, so that the coffee processed in the region can reclaim their space in the consumer markets. The official believes that with government support, there will be conditions to restart production of this important product in Ganda, because already being registered all farms where coffee cultivation is paralyzed few years ago. The Coffee Experimental Station, in the commune of Casseque is potential for the coffee crop, hence the intent of this cooperative, he said.
As for season 2012/13, Avelino Sawayanga advanced that there are now two new tractors with implements to boost agricultural production and improve productivity. He noted that both the farmers involved in the relaunch of coffee production, as farmers and local farmers will benefit from tractors delivered a few days ago by the government to support the preparation of land in this season.
