Colombia's coffee exports increased more than a third in 2013

Coffee production in Colombia increased 41% in 2013, the year exports experienced a growth of more than a third (35%) compared to 2012, said, on Friday, the National Federation of the sector.
According to a report by the National Federation of coffee growers, throughout 2013, 10.8 million bags of 60 kg were produced, compared to 7.7 million recorded in 2012, reflecting an increase of 41%.
The increase in coffee production was in 'tune' with total exports, with overseas sales of 9.6 million bags of coffee, reflecting an increase of 35% compared to 2012.
