Vietnam continues as leader of world exports of Robusta coffee, with its shipments of presenting high 42.51% in January this year, compared to the same month in 2012 (1,894,605 bags of 60 kg). In the first month of 2013, the Vietnamese accounted for 71.57% of global exports of Conilon, having exported 2.7 million bags. The data, preliminary, are the statistical report of the International Coffee Organization (ICO).
According to the entity, the total shipped for all producing countries, last January was 3,772,404 bags of Robusta, 47.65% higher than the amount recorded in the first month of 2012, when exports totalled variety of world 2555 .026 sacks, and 18.30% greater than the 3,188,886 bags of December last year.
Brazil has figured only as eighth place in the world rankings in January. Last month, Brazil exported 36,696 bags of Conilon, which led to a volume decrease of 1.93% compared to January 2011 (37,419 bags) and represented only 0.97% of the total.
