The International Coffee Organization (ICO) released on Friday, the stock of world exports sector. In the first ten months of the 2012/2013 harvest, exports grew 3.6% compared to the same period of the previous crop and reached 94.48 million bags. Brazil has better performance than the global average and shipment of Brazilian production is 7.4% higher than that observed in the previous harvest.
According to the ICO, world exports of the sector totalled 9.05 million tons in July 2013, less than the 9.69 million tons in July 2012. Despite this monthly decline, exports of ten months (October 2012 and July 2013) of the 2012/2013 crop showed positive reaction.
Of the 94.48 million tons exported in the ten months, Brazil accounted for 27.3% of the volume. In all, the country shipped 25.78 million bags in the period. The volume is 7.4% higher than in the previous harvest. Only in July, Brazilian exports totalled 2.15 million bags.
The OIC also reported that in the 12 months ending in July 2012 to export the coffee Arabica type reached 68.68 million bags, up 4.56% from the 65.68 million seen in the same period of last season. Already boarding the type of Robusta beans totalled 44.19 million bags, up 7.59% compared with 41.07 million bags in the previous period.
